Processes FAQ

Please reach me  if you cannot find an answer to your question

You can schedule an appointment by contacting me through the online form, email, phone, or text. We will find a time that works for you and arrange your first session.

During the first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any concerns you have. This initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and start building a therapeutic relationship.

I require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another client in need.

There is no special preparation needed. Simply come as you are, with any thoughts or issues you wish to discuss. If you are attending a virtual session, ensure you have a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable talking.

For virtual sessions, you will receive a link to a secure online platform. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space for the session. The process is designed to be as seamless and comfortable as possible.

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. All information shared during sessions is kept private, with certain legal exceptions such as risk of harm to self or others. I will provide a detailed consent form outlining these confidentiality policies before we begin.

Please reach me if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes. I currently accept several insurance plans, including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna, and Magellan.

I use Headway, a secure platform that helps manage insurance billing and benefits. Headway will verify your insurance coverage and help simplify the payment process before sessions begin.

Yes. I work with several EAP providers, including TELUS Health, Workplace Options, ComPsych, Health Advocate, Ulliance, and Empathia.

I accept various forms of payment, including Venmo, Paypal, Square, Zelle, Cash App, cash, check, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers. Payment details will be provided at the time of scheduling.

If paying out of pocket, payment is required ahead of the session time to confirm your appointment.

There are no additional fees beyond the session fees unless specific arrangements are made for services such as extended sessions or special consultations.

I offer a sliding scale for phone sessions.
